DESCRIPTION:

Increase exhaust flow by replacing the restrictive factory catalytic converter with a much less restrictive straight-through pipe for maximum flow and performance. Unlock your vehicles potential performance and engine response with maximum turbo spool and improved efficiency, while creating an exciting and aggressive exhaust tone.

The portion of the exhaust that contains the catalyst is a rather large component, making a full replacement section costly. Our design incorporates a Torca clamp for easy installation into the factory double walled exhaust configuration - cutting is required for installation. The system can be reverted back to stock at any time utilizing the same clamp.

NOTE: Cutting of the factory exhaust pipe is required, but is simple and reversible at any time. Please see our Installation Instructions to gauge your ability to perform the installation. The factory Porsche AG OEM exhaust tip design sends exhaust gasses directly at each other from each end of the muffler. The exhaust pulses therefore slam into each other and then as pressure builds the exhaust is forced through a harsh 90 degree turn out to exit through the tips. Fabspeed's premium Maxflo X-pipe with dual tips is actually the world's only true X-pipe design. This allows exhaust gases to more efficiently exit the factory mufflers - increasing velocity and smoothing out sound resulting in a solid increase in power and exhaust volume. SOUND:

With PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust) on and the valves open, this system turns the 4.0L's exhaust note into a truly exotic sound with a significant increase in volume. This system will turn heads as you rip by, some jeers from the nearby pedestrians may have you hitting the accelerator a little more often. Tolerable enough for street driving and highway cruising but definitely not a subtle sunday-mass regular.

POWER:

After many dyno hours and incremental refinements to our design we were able to achieve dyno gains of 27 WHP and 19 FT/LBS of TQ at 7500 RPM. Best of all, power gains are seen as low as 3700 RPM, so there are power gains across the entire power band!
