Porsche 996 GT2 Turbo 3.6L Handbuch

Ein fantastisches Exemplar des 911 (996) GT2, Baujahr 2002. Der 996 GT2 war wirklich der letzte vom Typ 911, der auf die meisten Fahrhilfen verzichtete – er kam einfach mit ABS, ohne Traktionskontrolle, ohne Allradantrieb und beeindruckende 462 PS - diese Kombination hat ihm den Spitznamen "der Witwenmacher" eingebracht.

In Basaltschwarz mit passender schwarzer Lederausstattung - es wurde ursprünglich im August 2002 von Archibald Motors ausgeliefert, dem Porsche-Hauptvertreter für Christchurch, Neuseeland. Zu den Werksoptionen gehören gemäß dem Echtheitszertifikat, das wir in unseren Akten haben, farbige Radmitten; getönte Windschutzscheibe; Mittelkonsole; Porsche CDR 220CD; Sportsitze; Geprägtes Porsche Wappen auf der Kopfstütze. Dies steht natürlich ganz oben auf der Liste der Standardspezifikationen für das Modell, einschließlich der überarbeiteten Federung und des erstaunlichen Porsche Carbon-Keramik-Bremssystems.

  • Als Weiterentwicklung des bereits beeindruckenden „Standard“-Turbos war der 911 Turbo S mit dem X50 Powerkit ausgestattet, das aus größeren Turboladern, verbesserten Ladeluftkühlern und einem überarbeiteten Steuergerät bestand und außerdem serienmäßig mit Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) ausgestattet war.
  • Dieses Exemplar ist in der zeitlosen Kombination von Basalt Black Metallic über einem schwarzen Lederinterieur gehalten und verfügt über Sportsitze mit fester Rückenlehne, perforierte Sitzeinsätze, kontrastierende rote Sicherheitsgurte und silberne Zierakzente.

MODELLGESCHICHTE & PRODUKTION
Der erste Porsche 356 lief 1950 in Stuttgart vom Band. Die Produktion lief bis 1965, als die Produktion eingestellt wurde. Bis dahin wurden über 76.000 Exemplare verschiedener Modellbezeichnungen hergestellt.

Es war Porsches erstes Serienfahrzeug, dessen Weiterentwicklung mit dem Pre-A, dem 1955 eingeführten 356A, dem Ende 1959 eingeführten 356B und dem letzten Serienfahrzeug 356C für das Modelljahr 1964 begann. In jeder Form wurden sie überwiegend als Coupé oder Cabriolet gebaut. Allerdings waren mehrere Varianten als „Stufenheck-Coupés“ oder „Speedster- und Roadster-Cabriolets“ erhältlich. In begrenzter Stückzahl war auch die 1954 eingeführte Rennversion „Carrera“ mit vier Nockenwellen erhältlich.

Der 356 wurde von Ferdinand „Ferry“ Porsche (Sohn von Ferdinand Porsche – Firmengründer) entwickelt. Im Jahr 1972 fasste er während eines Interviews mit dem PCA-Magazin seine Gedanken hinter dem Konzept wie folgt zusammen: „Ich bin immer sehr schnelle Autos gefahren. Ich hatte einen Alfa Romeo, auch einen BMW und andere ... Am Ende des Krieges hatte ich ein Volkswagen Cabriolet mit Kompressormotor, und das war die Grundidee. Ich habe gesehen, dass es angenehmer zu fahren ist, wenn man in einem kleinen Auto genug Leistung hat, als wenn man ein großes Auto hat, das auch übermotorisiert ist. Und es macht mehr Spaß. Auf dieser Grundidee haben wir den ersten Porsche-Prototyp gestartet.“

Dieser Leichtbau-Ansatz verschaffte dem 356 schnell seine Beliebtheit und verlieh dem 356 in Kombination mit seinem Leistungsgewicht, dem Heckmotor-Layout, dem flinken Handling und der hervorragenden Verarbeitungsqualität einen echten Reiz für den Fahrer – eine bewährte Formel, die auch zu einem Klassensieg bei führte Le Mans im Jahr 1951. Die Leistung variierte je nach Hubraum (1100 ccm, 1300 ccm oder 1500 ccm) zwischen 40 und 70 PS, bis hin zu 112 PS bei den Carrera-Versionen.

Die Pre-A- oder „Prototyp“-Modelle des in Österreich gebauten 356 hatten eine Aluminiumkarosserie, aber als die Fertigung nach Deutschland verlagert wurde, beauftragte Porsche Reutter mit der Herstellung der Karosserien aus Stahl und kaufte das Unternehmen schließlich 1963. Reutter behielt den Bereich der Sitzherstellung seines Unternehmens. aber später änderten sie ihren Namen in Recaro – und gründeten das Unternehmen, mit dem wir heute viel vertrauter sind.

Im Oktober 1964 feierte der Nachfolger des 356, der legendäre 911, sein Debüt – doch seine anhaltende Beliebtheit sorgte dafür, dass die Produktion bis weit ins Jahr 1965 hinein fortgesetzt wurde.

There is something special about a 1972 Porsche 911. The entire model year lineup all had the famous mechanical fuel injection and the one-year-only side oil door. It was also the first year displacement bumped to 2.4 liters. As the market continues to grow for “long-hood” 911s, the 1972 model is quickly becoming the most desirable.

#170 of 1,821 built for a special market, Only the USA version had MFI like the E model, thus Porsche’s designation as a T/E model. The RoW cars were carbureted.

This very original numbers matching early long hood 911 has been well serviced and cared for since new. Complete with a Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche.

It was built as a US Spec. model and optioned with stabilizer bars, a Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio, Tinted Glass windshield, side glass, rear window, and the Comfort Package, 15" alloy wheels, "S" bumper trim, "S" appearance trim, "S" gauges (voltage & oil pressure), a more strident "highway" horn, bright-metal rocker-panel trim, "Porsche" deck lid script, velour carpeting, a leather-covered steering wheel, bright interior dash trim w/ matching rocker kick plate, and Bosch fog lights.

Re-built to the original standard colour Light Ivory paint work (colour code 1110), with black interior and folding targa top. It received a complete top end rebuild at 95k. miles, including updated turbo tensioners, new valves, chains, rails & guides.

Replacement transmission seals, the engine rear main seal, clutch, and transmission syncro's. The car Just completed a glass out, trim off full repaint in its original Light Ivory color, and has been installed all the new seals and deco trim, rebuilding of the targa top, and polishing of a few trim pieces.

The interior has also been restored, which only required replacing the German velour carpets, a few re-tucks of the original interior panels, and rebuilding of the seat hinge plates with new hardware. All the 2.0 to 2.4 liter 911's are reliable performers, but the 1972 was the first year for the new 915 transmission, it also had the MFI from the E model, and was the only year with the oil fill door on the right rear fender..... quite endearing to most Porschephiles!

Porsche made its first and most significant upgrades to the 930 for 1978, enlarging the engine to 3.3 litres and adding an air-to-air intercooler. By cooling the pressurized air charge, the intercooler helped increase power output to 300 hp, the rear 'whale tail' spoiler was re-profiled and raised slightly to make room for the intercooler. Porsche also upgraded the brakes to units similar to those used on the 917 racecar.

The RS was built so that Porsche could enter racing formulae that demanded that a certain minimum number of production cars were made. Compared with a standard 911S, the Carrera 2.7 RS had a larger engine (2687cc) developing 210hp, revised and stiffened suspension, a 'ducktail' rear spoiler, larger brakes, wider rear wheels and rear bumpers. The image of the white car with coloured script along its flanks has seamlessly passed into motoring legend and has itself been used as a marketing tool by Porsche for many of its later lightweight cars. Performance aside, it is the image and styling that made the Carrera RS the success story that it is today and it is that image that is offered now. But more than that, it is coupled with a far more drivable Porsche underneath, with a bigger engine, a more comfortable ride and a few more creature comforts.

The Engine power is fantastic and the 915 gear box is smooth in all gears. In May 2012 less than 102 miles ago the vehicle & engine had $6500.00 spent on it.  The pop-up headlamps all work and the body is rust free.

This is an original steel wings body conversion, professionally done in the USA. The interior is a contrasting red and black finish.  

This 1979 Porsche 911SC was modified into a "Flachbau" ("slantnose") this type of modification was first offered by Porsche for their 930 Turbo under a special program since 1981. The front end was restyled after the racing 935s. According to some sources, Porsche built 948 units.

The history behind this type of conversion is made famous by Camillo & Domenico Scaduto of Carrozzeria Italia at their restoration shop in Escondido, California. Domenico Scaduto and his son Camillo Scaduto handcrafted the "Flachbau" as Porsche did with steel fenders before the advent of lesser quality fiberglassed modifications by other shops. Yet, over the years, they were able to build 87 units in Southern California before the style faded.

The 993 Turbo coupe was released in 1995. It featured a new turbocharged engine displacing 3.6 liters producing 408 PS (300 kW; 402 hp). Twin turbochargers and air-to-air intercoolers, electronic engine management, redesigned cylinder heads and other modified engine internals were used. The 993 Turbo was the first Porsche Turbo with all-wheel drive. The electronic engine management helped the Turbo to achieve fuel efficiency far superior to any of the previous production Turbos. In connection with two catalytic converters and an on-board-diagnostics-system including four oxygen-sensors, it also made the 993 Turbo the cleanest sports car at its time.
