The new 3.0ltr twin-turbo flat-six in the 991.2 Carrera 4S, now paired with a four-wheel-drive system from the Turbo, produces 414 hp and 368 ft-lbs of torque. This engine propels the car from 0 to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds with a manual, 4.0 seconds with the PDK, and 3.6 seconds with the PDK and optional Sport Chrono pack, with a top speed of 189 mph.

The 991.2 Carrera 4S PDK is significantly quicker than its predecessor, showing a 3-second improvement to 124 mph and a 6-second improvement to 155 mph. Despite concerns about the switch from the 3.8-liter naturally aspirated engine, the new engine's performance quickly proves impressive. The AWD system operates primarily as rear-drive but engages the front axle when slippage is detected, allowing more torque to be directed forward than in previous models.
