Built from hi-grade titanium and finished with two eye-catching double round tailpipes, this entry system makes the GT3 more powerful and lighter, and gives the car that unique Akrapovič sound. Designed to make the car stand out from the crowd and increase its appeal even more, the visual delight of the Akrapovič Slip-On can be further enhanced with the addition of an optional carbon- fibre rear diffuser. Beautifully handcrafted from the finest materials and designed to enrich the exclusive look of the titanium exhaust system, the diffuser is a must-have extra for any discerning owner.

The Akrapovič Slip-On Line for the Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S is the first stage in the exhaust tuning process and gives this already outstanding car a further step in performance. Made from a high-grade titanium alloy and finished with exquisitely handcrafted carbon fibre and titanium tailpipes, the Slip-On Line reduces weight to aid with handling. Akrapovič's sound engineers have also created a deep and unique sound to make the Porsche 911 Turbo / Turbo S stand out even more. The Slip-On Line can also be used in conjunction with the optional Akrapovič link pipes—with or without cats—which can be added to the system to take the performance to another level. DesignTek Secondary Exhaust Muffler Bypass for Porsche 991 S 3.8L

These simple U/J pipes remove the mufflers that are tucked up in the rear quarter panels. Why the reason for these I do not know. Typically in the past we either see a main centre muffler or 2 mufflers with catalyst pipes. So this was the first simplest part to change out. Keeping the same diameter for a perfect OEM replacement, these pipes are straight through which not only eliminates any muffler packing or baffling, but also the weight. Each stock muffler weighs approximately 15.6lbs. The Designtek Secondary Exhaust Muffler Bypass Pipes are about 3lbs each. Now eliminating restriction, we have also saved about 25lbs off the rear end. Because this part still retained the factory headers with cats and the factory center muffler, it added a slightly deeper tone to the exhaust but not a drastic droning change that a full exhaust could. Upon revving the car out stationary and on the dyno, you could hear the tone change nicely as you past the 4000rpm mark.

Garage Notes: The pipes sometimes rub on the heatshields causing a resonation through the car. This can be sorted by redressing the heatshields but isn't a straight forward bolt up and go replacement.

The sound its self is quite impressive and very sporty from the outside but to drive causes a pretty bad droning sound under normal driving conditions. This exhaust peaks at 101decibels

According to the factories dyno test, the secondary muffler bypass pipes really start achieving performance from 3700rpm all the way to redline. With a baseline test in 3rd gear and all wheel drive (have to for the dyno and no warning lights), the car made 344HP and 289ft/lbs of torque. Based on the ambient temperature, the factories Mustang Dyno, and 91octane fuel, this is about right considering the car comes with 400bhp. With the addition of our pipes, the car put down 358HP and 298ft/lbs of torque gaining 14HP and 9ft/lbs at the peak.

EXHAUST SYSTEM FINISH - POLISHED
Mirror finishes are highly reflective and created by polishing the stainless steel. The polishing process enhances appearance and consistency, making cleaning easier. A special rolling procedure is used. It is essential to remove deep scratches as any surface defects will be very noticeable on the finished product. it improves corrosion resistance. The polishing eradicates crevices where corrosive particles can lodge themselves.
